چکیده
Effective manipulations of thermal expansion and conductivity are significant for improving operational performances protective coatings, thermoeletrics, radiators. This work uncovers determinant mechanisms symbiotic ScTaO4/SmTaO4 composites as thermal/environmental barrier coatings (T/EBCs), we consider effects interface stress resistance. The weak bonding among grains manipulate coefficient (CTE) stretching from 6.4 to 10.7×10-6 K-1 at 1300 ºC, which gets close that substrates in T/EBC systems. multiscale effects, including phonon scattering interface, mitigation speed, lattice point defects, synergistically depress transports, estimate the proportions different parts. resistance reduces by depressing speed phonons because differential acoustic properties between ScTaO4 SmTaO4 ceramics composites. study proves CTE tantalates can be artificially regulated match expand their applications, uncovered used transports various materials.

Thermal Expansion of Carbon Nanofiber-Reinforced Multiscale Polymer Composites
Improved dimensional stability of composites is desired in applications where they are exposed to varying temperature conditions. The current study aims at analyzing the effect of vapor-grown carbon nanofibers (CNFs) on the thermal expansion behavior of epoxy matrix composites and hollow particlefilled composites (syntactic foams). CNFs have a lower coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) than e...

A major problem challenging specialists in present-day materials sciences is the development of compact, cheap to fabricate heat sinks for electronic devices, primarily for computer processors, semiconductor lasers, high-power microchips, and electronics components. The materials currently used for heat sinks of such devices are aluminum and copper, with thermal conductivities of about 250 W/(m...

The effective thermal conductivity enhancement of carbon fiber composites is investigated in this contribution using a three-dimensional numerical method. First a more realistic three-dimensional distribution of fibers dispersed in a matrix phase is reproduced by a developed random generation-growth method to eliminate the overrated inter-fiber contacts by the two-dimensional simulations. The e...

متن کاملThermal Conductivity and Expansion of Cross- Ply Composites with Matrix Cracks
Theoretical models are developed for heat conduction and thermal expansion in a fiber-reinforced ceramic cross-ply laminate containing an array of parallel transverse matrix cracks. Two stages of the transverse matrix cracks are considered : Stage-I with tunnel cracks in the 90” plies aligned parallel to the fibers, and Stage-II with cracks extended across both the 90 and 0” plies with intact f...
